I’ve been obsessed with baking for a long time now. It’s something that has always taken me up at night in my sleep and made me question whether or not I should be doing what I love. But when it comes down to making the kind of delicious treats that you can only find in bakeries, the idea of breaking out of your comfort zone is exhilarating.
Bundt cakes have such an alluring quality about them, they are so easy to whip up! This recipe was created after many failures trying to master the art. After multiple rounds of trial and error, this version is a surefire winner. These little cupcakes take just 5 minutes to bake, take care of their shape perfectly on one plate and are incredibly moist! You can store any left over cakes for days in the fridge for freeze, as well as freeze for up to 6 months for even more indulgent desserts!
HOW TO MAKE BUNDT CAKE
These simple steps will help get the job done without a hitch! If you’d like to skip straight from step one, there is no need for all of these steps, as everything else can be completed from scratch right away! However, if you’re looking for some inspiration in terms of what to put into each bite, here are a few suggestions for those who would like to add these delicious dessert bites to their home:
1. Warm the milk until lukewarm for 1-2 minutes then whisk together 2-3 tbsp of the cooled butter and cream, before adding it back into your mixer bowl.
2. Using the spoon, stir the eggs and vanilla until combined. Add the heavy cream to the mixture along with the dry ingredients and mix them quickly by hand once you’re ready to press the batter.
3. Once you’re ready to press, gently fold in 1 tbsp of flour to create a thickened consistency and set aside.
4. Now, using a spatula, pour the batter onto the prepared pan (you’ll want to use a 9×13 pan rather than a 9×9 pan to ensure you have enough space between layers) and spread uniformly across the surface of your tins. The batter should be around an inch from the top of the tin as well as covering both sides of the pan. Cook, covered, for 25 minutes until the center of the cake browns. Remove to a wire rack until cool completely.
While these steps may seem quick and straightforward, remember to pay attention to detail here; we aren’t trying to give away our secrets here! All of our recipes are very different, and we will certainly recommend varying levels of sweetness, especially because everyone has different tastes.
That being said, let's dive right into it! Continue reading for our detailed instructions below, but first, why do you think that the title “bun” is fitting? Well, for starters, it helps you identify exactly what we mean by it! And the answer is, we don't just mean cake! There are so many ways to style this sweet treat, so in addition to a nice warm winter day, why not celebrate the season?
BUNDT DESSERTATIONS
These three berry flavors are great options for getting people through the coldest months, including Halloween! They also pair wonderfully with seasonal drinks and desserts, which are what we really enjoy the most during celebrations! We always go bold and brave for our holiday creations!
A. Chocolate & Raspberry
Our first choice for creating this perfect birthday cake is chocolate and raspberry cake! Not only does this flavor work amazingly well with fruit, but I am often surprised to see the results I was able to come up with! Plus, it makes for a great combination since these two are known to complement each other well!
B. Creamy Orange Meringue Chiffon Tender Coconut
Our next pick for this cute cake is creamy orange meringue chiffon tender coconut cream! As mentioned above, this could easily stand alone!
C. Dark Chocolate Covered Banana Pudding
Finally, a dark chocolate covered banana pudding! What better way to kick off the fun than giving a person a soft banana!
I am always amazed by all the things it takes to pull off a bakery-worthy cheesecake. From the meticulous process of sifting butter and cream to crafting the perfect frosting, to simply watching as my mother rolls her hands in joy, and finally, to letting the cake bake. So, when you're at my house, you know you'll definitely eat every part of this pie. And trust me on this one...it's good!

Now that we've gotten our fix for creating this delicious summer treat, let's talk about a different topping that I'm glad never crossed my mind. Yes, it was extremely tempting for me to choose minted peanut butter chocolate chip cookies, especially with the fact that I had recently discovered that there was a whole world of chocolate and peanut butter to choose from on my shelves!
However, I decided against the classic and went a slightly healthier route and chose to try blueberry shortbread cookie dough: a much higher-fat offering compared to regular shortbread cookie dough and it didn't taste quite as appealing!
But wait, what is blueberry shortbread cookie dough? Also referred to as apple crisp and it's actually pretty similar to traditional shortbread but contains some added ingredients, specifically apples, which help preserve the taste of this cookie dough at an additional cost. In the photo above, we're looking at Blueberry shortbread cookie dough that I made myself with blueberries! I used a handful of raisins instead of the normal amount because I thought it would bring out the sweetness of the cookies a bit more! Here's how it turned out!
If you're still stumped on what to serve this treat with, here are four popular choices. One might be perfect for kids! Another will look like a decadent mini ice-cream cone combo, while the third is perfect for dinner parties as a light snack to munch on throughout the evening! Personally, this blueberry shortbread cookie dough cookie dough is great to serve as an appetizer on its own! Or alternatively, if you'd prefer serving a healthy option, slice it in half and place on top of ice cream or yogurt, then dip in some fresh berries for a natural sweetness hit instead of artificial ones. While I personally wouldn't recommend eating the entirety of it, sometimes the desire hits us and we need something sweet like dessert after all! Let's say those desires are always sparked when someone asks for one. Why stop there? Don't worry, it won't cross the minds of these sweets aficionados because none of our recipes involve pouring boiling oil into hot sauce!
For example, all of these desserts are inspired by popular Italian favorites known to be loved the world over, whether this means cherry tomatoes, mascarpone cheese, cannoli or mozzarella sticks! Of course, it isn't necessary to include Italian foods in the creation of these delicious dishes, which is totally fine! Ultimately though, it allows us to explore new flavors without having to compromise on the quality of ingredients.
